Avon High School (AHS) is a 4-year high school in Hendricks County, Avon, Indiana USA. On November 15, 2008, they placed first for the first time in the school's history during Bands of America Grand National Championships, a national competition in which 80 to 90 high school marching bands compete every year. Avon scored a 97.75, out of a possible 100 points. On November 14, 2009, Avon successfully defended its title as BOA Grand National Champion, making them the first band since 1991 to win that title consecutively. On November 13, 2010, Avon once again defended their National title, making them the first band to win the title three consecutive times since Marian Catholic in 1989.
